Understanding MLB Issues

Issues Opening MLB Files

MyLabel Designer Deluxe Isn't There

When you double-click your MLB file, you may see a dialog box from your operating system stating that it "Cannot Open This File Type". Customarily, this means that MyLabel Designer Deluxe is not installed on %%os%%. The typical path of opening your MLB with a double-click won't work because %%os%% cannot make the program connection.

Tip: If you know of another program that can open your MLB file, you can try opening it by selecting the application from the programs listed.

Outdated MyLabel Designer Deluxe

Your MyLabel Designer Deluxe Project File file is incompatible with MyLabel Designer Deluxe because you might have the wrong version installed. If you do not have the proper version MyLabel Designer Deluxe (or any of the other programs listed above), you may need to try downloading a different version of it, or one of the other software applications listed above. This problem is predominately due to having a MyLabel Designer Deluxe Project File file version that was created by a newer version of MyLabel Designer Deluxe than what you have installed on your PC.

Tip: Sometimes you can get a clue about the version of MLB file you have by right clicking on the file, then clicking on "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac OSX).

Primarily, problems experienced when opening MLB files are due to having the incorrect version of MyLabel Designer Deluxe installed on your computer.

Other Causes of MLB File Opening Problems

In the majority of cases, installing the right version of MyLabel Designer Deluxe will resolve your issue. There can be external issues inside of %%os%% that are causing these errors when opening MLBs. These issues include:

  • Windows Registry MLB file paths that are incorrect
  • Unintentional removal of the description of the MLB file inside the Windows Registry
  • MyLabel Designer Deluxe or another MLB application experienced a flawed installation
  • Something has caused file corruption of your MLB
  • MLB file integrity has been compromised by malware
  • Drivers associated with MLB software need to be updated
  • Windows cannot load your MyLabel Designer Deluxe Project File file due to insufficient resources (eg. RAM)
