Solvusoft Corporation (“Solvusoft” or “we”) is committed to protecting the privacy of end users using the FileViewPro software (respectively, “you” or “user” and “Software”). This Privacy Policy (the "Policy”) explains our data collection practices, and how we use your information when you access, download, install and use the Software or any related service provided by us as part of the Software, or the hosting website of the Software, available at: [https://www.solvusoft.com/en/fileviewpro/] (collectively, the “Services”).

This Policy is an integral part of our End User License Agreement ("EULA") [https://www.solvusoft.com/en/fileviewpro/eula/], and together constitutes a binding agreement between you and us (the “Agreement”). Terms defined under the EULA will have the same meaning in this Policy.

If you do not agree to the terms of this Policy, or you are under 18, please do not access, install or use the Software.

1. What Information Do We Collect?

We may collect the following types of information from our users who use the Software or otherwise access the Services:

Non-Personal Information: meaning, information about the use of the Software and/or Services, access to them or any other information that is not associated with an individual person, and does not enable us to make such association. When you use the Software and/or the Services, we automatically collect and store certain information about your computer or device and your activities, including:

ii. Personal Information; (i) meaning, information that by itself, or when used with other information, can identify you as an individual or may be otherwise associated with an individual.

When you use the Services, you may be asked to register or provide certain personal information, including your email address and full name. When you complete the purchase of the Software, you may be requested to provide additional personal information to process your payment and complete the purchase, in which case, the information will be collected and processed by our 3rd party payment processing vendors and all data collection by such vendors will be governed by their own privacy policies that will be available to you via the payment process. We do however get the following information about you from our payment processor in order to provide you with the services and Software that you have purchased:

You may also decide to provide us with some optional information if you decide to directly contact us via email, phone or form. In which case, we will use this information to address your request or inquiry.

Personal Information is provided to us in case you chose to provide it throughout a purchase of the Software, and for purposes of processing your purchase, issuing a license key, send you updates, upgrades, and offers that are associated with the Services.

2. Why We Collect the Information and How Do We Use It?

We use the information we collect or that you provide us with (either directly or indirectly) for the following purposes and in the following ways:

We may also use the information to extract, generate and use aggregated and/or anonymized information and statistics about your use of the Software and Services, and may produce such aggregated information to third parties for marketing, analytical and strategic purposes. However, no user of our Services will be individually identifiable from the aggregated and/or anonymized information and statistics.

3. How We Collect the Information

We use various ways and technologies to collect the information:

Web Server: Information about your use of the Software, Services and your system is delivered to us by our web server that communicates with your computer.

Third party payment processor: we receive certain information, as described above, about your purchase from our 3rd party payment processor.

Cookies: We use cookies, pixel tags, web beacons and other such similar technologies to collect and store the information we automatically collect about your browser activity that is related to the Services. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer and a pixel tag (also called a web beacon or clear GIF) is a tiny graphic with a unique identifier, embedded invisibly on a webpage.

When you interact with the Site and Services, or when you make a purchase of the Software, we store a cookie on your web browser. We, like most websites use cookies of few types, divided mainly to the following categories:

(a) first party cookies, served directly by us to your computer: we use such cookies to recognize you (e.g. as a registered user) when you visit the Site or payment page, and to store your preferences and settings., and

(b) third party cookies, which are served by a third party on our behalf. We use third party cookies for functionality, performance / analytics, advertising and social media purposes. Cookies from advertising companies, for example, help to ensure that the advertisements you see online are more relevant to you and your interests.

Users can usually set their browsers to block all third-party cookies (which are those set by third-party companies collecting information on websites operated by other companies), block all cookies, or block specific cookies. Please note that if you choose to block cookies, this may interfere with certain functionalities our Services. Also, if you have disabled one or more cookies, we may still use information collected from cookies prior to your disabled preference being set; however, we will stop using the disabled cookie to collect any further information.

4. Sharing Information with 3rd Parties

Except for your personal information that is shared with us throughout payment processors, we will not share the personal information we collect about you with any third party for their own purposes without your consent. We may share Personal Information if it is required for the Services processing and provisioning, in which case, their use of your Personal Information will be limited to the Services provisioning. We may however, share non-personal information in the following ways:

Our suppliers, subcontractors and business partners (“service providers”): We may share your information with our services providers who process your personal information to provide services to us or on our behalf. We have contracts with our service providers that prohibit them from sharing the information about you that they collect or that we provide to them with anyone else, or using it for other purposes.

Fraud prevention: We may disclose the personal information we collect about our users when we believe disclosure is necessary to investigate, prevent, or respond to suspected illegal or fraudulent activity or to protect the safety, rights, or property of us, our users, or others.

Law enforcement purposes and public safety: If requested or required by government authorities, such as law enforcement authorities, courts, or regulators, or otherwise to comply with the law, we may disclose any information we have about our users. We may disclose information collected about you in order to exercise or protect legal rights or defend against legal claims. We also may be required to disclose an individual’s personal information in response to a lawful request by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.

Sale or merger of our business: We may transfer your personal information to a third party if we or any of our affiliates are involved in a corporate restructuring (e.g., a sale, merger, or other transfer of assets).

Advertisers and advertising networks: Advertisers and advertising networks place ads (including sponsored links in search results) on our site. These companies may collect information, such as your IP address and browser information. They also may use cookies and other technologies to collect this information when you visit our site as described above.

5. User Choices

Unsubscribe/opt-out: any email communication from us will be provided with an un-subscribe option so you can choose at all times to opt out from any email communication we make with you. Please note that in cases where you re-submitted your email address to us, we may re-issue such communication with you, upon your consent.

Disable Cookies: you can choose at any time to disable your browsers from accepting cookies. You can refer to the description above for further information.

California, Europe and Canadian users: if you are a resident of California, Canada or a European country, you may request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to any third parties for their direct purposes. Although we do not disseminate your information to third parties without permission, you must presume that we collect electronic information from all visitors. 6. Minors Control

Neither the Software nor any associated Services are intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a person submitting information is under 13, we will attempt to delete the information as soon as possible. You hereby represent that you are at least 13.

7. How do we secure information we collect?

We take the security of your personal information seriously and use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage. We also limit access to personal information about you to employees who reasonably need access to it to provide products or services to you, or in order to do their jobs. However, because no security system can be 100% effective, we cannot completely guarantee the security of any information we may have collected from or about you.

8. Changes in this Privacy Policy

We may make changes to this Policy to address any new function of the Software or new data collection practice, data processing, usage and storage. Please check this Privacy periodically for any such updates. The last effective date of any such changes will be reflected by the “Last Updates” statement at the top. If we make any material changes to this Policy, we will post the updated Policy on the site or will notify you in any alternative way, along with its effective date. Your continued use of the Services after our posting of changes to this Policy means that you agree to be bound by such changes.
